The Secret – Not so Secret Anymore

If you haven’t heard of The Secret, you may not have been living under a rock for the couple of years, but you certainly weren’t paying any attention to the media.

The Secret is the Law of Attraction. And while the book the Secret, while inspiring, can get dry at times, the movie is intense, fascinating, inspiring, and will absolutely hold your attention. Next Generation Unity

Next Generation Unity, the 18 to 35ish group of the Unity spiritual movement recently launched a new website for the South Central Unity Church Association. The South Central Region includes Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Texas.

The new website can be found at southcentralngu.com

The intention of Next Generation Unity is to create a core group of people who are interested in making conscious connections with other like-minded young people to create new friendships and experiences.

The International Next Generation Representative Team are currently working on the International site that will soon be found at nextgenerationunity.org. When the site is up, I’ll make the announcement here.

North American InterFaith Network Conference

From June 25th to 28th Unity Village will be hosting the North American InterFaith Network Conference “Experience the Spirit in Education: The Challenge of Religious Pluralism”. The event will approach the idea of One God, Many Paths, opening up the question of how to create unity in a world so religiously and politically divided.

The conference offers the following:

Experience worship with representatives from world religions.
Participate in a variety of workshops designed to enhance your understanding of interfaith programs.
Network with people of different faiths to share stories and ideas.
Listen to keynote interfaith presenters.

It recently occurred to me that there isn’t really any sort of aggregate site for news in around the New Thought movement. There are many of us out there who want to know what’s going on in our own spiritual movement as well as those who are new to New Thought and want to know what’s up. Thus, New Thought News was born.

I’ll do my best to bring you the lastest in New Thought news and the best information about New Thought churches and happenings. I am in the Albuquerque area, and so event news will be primarily about this region, but I will publicize large events as well.
